My first try at uploading

OK - here it goes. This is my first try at trying to upload some of my scrapbook creations. Cross your fingers and hope that it works.

OK - I guess you have to add it into the post - so let me try it this way......

Yeah - I DID IT!!! Okay - now for all of the details....

The top page is made using Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Whisper White. I used SU's calendar stamp and the star punch. The alphabet is Headline Alphabet which I think is now retired.

The second page is a progressive scrapbook page - It starts with the 6 x 6 page in the middle - again it uses the Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Whisper White card stock. I used the star punch and sparkle from the Warm Words set. Thought that would be cute for a fireworks picture. So you could use this in a 6 x 6 scrapbook or on the small desk calendar. I added the 6 x 6 layout to a piece of brilliant blue 8 1/2 x 11 card stock using Real Red and Whisper White card stocks, the star punch, and the Headline Alphabet. I also used a Real Red brad and some of the silver cord along with tearing of the card stock. So now you have an 8 1/2 x 11 layout for your scrapbook OR I attached that to a 12 x 12 piece of Whisper White and added some punched stars and more photo boxes - WHA LAA - now you have a 12 x 12 layout.

I love the progressive scrapbooking idea because it demonstrates how flexible scrapbooking and scrapbooking is. Thank you for looking and feel free to comment.

Final note - most of my inspirations come from www.splitcoaststampers.com. I played off an idea that was posted a year or so ago. I don't remember the original person but I will find it and post it to the blog.

Found it!!! Here is the blog link to my inspiration pages - but let me warn you that mine are nothing compared to her's.

Let's get this blog started.....

Well here it goes - My first blog posting. I have decided to get my stamping and crafting habit out of the expense column and hopefully into an asset column. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember - I had great inspiration and advise from two very special ladies in my life - my grandma's - Meme Martin and Grandma Tribbett. They both have wonderfully creative talents and each one in different areas - so I was able to learn a number of different crafts and techniques. Meme does/did a lot of sewing - from having her own upholstery business to cross stitching, candle wicking, embroidery, and more. Grandma did a lot of sewing also but she is a painter. She paints beautiful pictures on all sorts of objects - plates, saw blades, dolls, etc. Plus both of them are AWESOME cooks. So I have been blessed with two wonderful ladies that have really inspired my creative side.

Now my mom on the other hand does not have a crafting bone in her body - but she has the most beautiful singing voice that you will ever hear. Unfortunately she did not pass that gene onto me - I can't carry a tune or keep a beat to save my soul. Even though she is not a crafty person - she is one of my biggest fans and supporters and that means ALOT!!!

I love to stamp and scrapbook - I guess it is the desire for instant gratification that drew me to these - along with the fact that it is easy to share with others and when I send one of my cards - it is awesome to see the smiles on peoples faces when they get one of my rubber made creations.

So my plan for my blog is to keep you updated on my crafting habits and projects - connect you with the wonderful world of stamping - Stampin' Up! - and scrapbooking. I will upload pictures of my projects and creations along with updates on my current stamping calendar, classes, and adventures.

So hold on tight while I hopefully take you on a creative ride by putting the rubber to the pad and the ink to the paper.

Blessings from Rendi
